Dear friends, Heartfelt greetings to all of you. As was already announced, there will be no Holy Masses in August due to my vacation. I would also like to draw your attention to the change in the order of Holy Masses during September. The first Sunday of September (9.3.) will be an online Mass, and the second week (9.10.) will be a Mass in in San Francisco. By October, Masses should be as usual (please see page 1 of the Bulletin). I look forward to meeting with you! I wish you all wonderful summer days and the gaining of new strength and energy for body and soul. May the Lord God bless you and protect you! May the Virgin Mary and the saints of this month accompany you and intercede for you!

Milí krajané, přátelé, srdečně Vás všechny zdravím na začátku měsíce července. Začínají prázdniny a dovolené, někteří z Vás budou cestovat do ČR anebo někam jinam. Pokud se chystáte na cesty, tak vám přeji bezpečné cestování, hodně odpočinku pro tělo i duši a šťastný návrat domů. Všem přeji krásné prožití tohoto měsíce července a celého léta. Těším se, dá-li Pán Bůh, na všechna další osobní setkání ve vašich městech anebo zde u nás na Velehradě. Pán Bůh Vám všem žehnej, posiluj Vás a ochraňuj! P.S. Upozornění: v měsíci srpnu mše sv. NEBUDOU! V září budou jako obvykle.

V červnu se slaví několik náboženských svátků: Slavnost Nejsvětější trojice (4.6.), slavnost Těla a Krve Páně (8.6.) a svátek Nejsvětějšího srdce Ježíšova (16.6.). Dále budou připomenuty svátky sv. Antonína (13.6.), narození sv. Jana Křtitele (24.6.) a sv. Petra a Pavla (29.6.). Oslaví se také Svátek tatínků (18.6.) s mší v San Diegu a mší v Los Angeles následným piknikem na zahradě Velehradu (25.6.). Všem tatínkům se přeje síla, trpělivost a Boží požehnání. Otec Libor přeje krásné a požehnané dny v červnu a bezpečné cestování těm, kdo se chystají na dovolenou či jiné cesty.

Zdravím Vás všechny na začátku měsíce května, který je velmi bohatý na církevní slavnosti i na různé svátky a setkání. Květen je dle tradice zasvěcený Panně Marii a modlitbě růžence. Papež František nás opětovně vyzývá ke každodenní modlitbě růžence za mír ve světě a za pokoj v našich srdcích. Panna Maria dokázala naslouchat Bohu ve svém srdci, naslouchá i nám a přináší naše prosby Ježíši. Nebojme se na ni tedy obracet ve svých modlitbách. Více informací se dočtete ve Věstníku.

Dear friends, Greetings to you at the beginning of April, a month in which we celebrate the greatest Christian holiday – Easter. I am very much looking forward to celebrating this holiday together with you and meeting you in individual cities. On the first page of the Bulletin and on the calendar you will find, as usual, a schedule of all Easter services. The note “Eng.” means that the services will be celebrated at the Polish Center in English with the local parish and priest. I would like to draw the attention of our LA friends that here (in Placentia), our Easter Mass will be on Sunday, 4.9., at 2pm (not our regular time) in the Polish Center (POLISH CENTER – 3999 Rose Drive, Yorba Linda). As in SD and SF, we will meet and have refreshments in the church hall following the Mass. I would like to ask all of you for help in preparing the reception by bringing some food from your homes to our common table = POTLUCK. Thank you in advance! Greetings to you all again. A few weeks ago, we entered the Lenten season, a time of preparation for the celebration of thegreatest Christian holidays – Easter. Although March is a Lenten month, we will also celebrate the feast of St. Joseph (3.19.) and the Feast of the Annunciation(3.25.) – the announcement to the Virgin Mary that she will become the Mother of God’s Son. Our Lady and St. Joseph were ableto recognize and accept God's will and their mission. So let us ask this month especially for their intercession and help, so that notonly may we experience Lent well, but that we too may be able to listen to the Lord God, follow His recommendations and rules,and always carry out His will and plans which He has for us.

Heartfelt greetings to you all again at the beginning of February, which we begin by celebrating the feast of "Presentation of the Lord in the Temple" (2.2.), also known as “Candlemas Day.” This feast commemorates the time when Mary and Joseph brought Jesus 40 days after his birth to the temple in Jerusalem to give Him to God. The feast is accompanied by the blessing of candles, which have an important symbolic role: the candle consumes itself to bring light into the darkness (of life)... Jesus is this Light for the enlightenment of nations. The Feast of the Presentation of the Lord in the Temple is also celebrated in the Catholic Church as the World Day of Consecrated Life.a životech stále více vládne Boží pokoj, naděje, odpuštění a Boží Láska nad strachem, beznadějí a jakýmkoliv zlem. I would like to draw the attention of our LA friends that our (Placentia) Christmas Mass will be on Sunday, 12/25,  at 1:00 pm at the Polish Center (POLISH CENTER – 3999 Rose Drive, Yorba Linda). As in SD and SF, we will meet and have refreshments following the Mass in the hall of the Polish church. I would like to ask all of you for help in preparing the refreshments by bringing, according to your means,  some food from your homes for our communal table = POTLUCK. Thank you in advance, and I am looking forward to it!

Heartfelt greetings to you at the beginning of November, a month during which we especially remember and pray for our deceased. At the same time, we may and should realize that we, too, will one day encounter God. We may and should ask ourselves: "How prepared are we for this Encounter with Jesus?"
