Heartfelt greetings to all of you again at the beginning of the Advent season. I am very much looking forward to experiencing Christmas with you and meeting you in individual cities. On the first page of the Bulletin, you will find, as usual, a schedule of all pre-Christmas and Christmas Masses. I would like to draw the attention of our LA friends that our (Placentia) Christmas Mass will be on Sunday, 12/25, at 1:00 pm at the Polish Center (POLISH CENTER – 3999 Rose Drive, Yorba Linda). As in SD and SF, we will meet and have refreshments following the Mass in the hall of the Polish church. I would like to ask all of you for help in preparing the refreshments by bringing, according to your means, some food from your homes for our communal table = POTLUCK. Thank you in advance, and I am looking forward to it!

Heartfelt greetings to you at the beginning of November, a month during which we especially remember and pray for our deceased. At the same time, we may and should realize that we, too, will one day encounter God. We may and should ask ourselves: "How prepared are we for this Encounter with Jesus?"

Dear friends, Greetings to all of you at the beginning of October, a month which is dedicated in a special way to the Virgin Mary and to the prayer of the Rosary. (On October 7th, we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary). Pope Francis invites us to pray the Rosary daily. Let us pray every day for peace in today's divided and restless world, and for peace and love for every human heart.

Milí krajané, přátelé. srdečně Vás všechny zdravím v září, měsíci bohatém na církevní svátky. V tomto měsíci si připomeneme 25. výročí úmrtí sv. Matky Terezy z Kalkaty (5.9.), dále budeme slavit svátek Narození Panny Marie (8.9.), svátek Povýšení svatého kříže (14.9.), svátek Panny Marie Bolestné, hlavní patronky Slovenska (15.9.), svátek sv. Ludmily (16.9.), svátek sv. Matouše (22.9.), a především oslavíme patrona Českého národa sv. Václava (28.9.) Hlavní oslava zde u nás v LA bude při mši sv. v neděli 18.9. v 13.00 hod. na zahradě Velehradu. Po mši sv. bude možnost setkání a pohoštění. Všichni jste srdečně zváni!
