Heartfelt greetings to you all again at the beginning of February, which we begin by celebrating the feast of "Presentation of the Lord in the Temple" (2.2.), also known as “Candlemas Day.” This feast commemorates the time when Mary and Joseph brought Jesus 40 days after his birth to the temple in Jerusalem to give Him to God. The feast is accompanied by the blessing of candles, which have an important symbolic role: the candle consumes itself to bring light into the darkness (of life)... Jesus is this Light for the enlightenment of nations. The Feast of the Presentation of the Lord in the Temple is also celebrated in the Catholic Church as the World Day of Consecrated Life.a životech stále více vládne Boží pokoj, naděje, odpuštění a Boží Láska nad strachem, beznadějí a jakýmkoliv zlem. Pán Bůh Vás ochraňuj, posiluj a žehnej Vám! Velmi se těším na všechna naše další setkání v roce 2023!

Milí krajané, přátelé, srdečně Vás všechny zdravím na začátku roku 2023. Především bych Vám chtěl poděkovat za Vaši veškerou podporu naší misie v uplynulém roce. Za všechny Vaše dary, za všechna milá setkání a povzbudivá slova, za všechny společné chvíle prožité při mši sv. i po ní při našich setkáních, prostě za VŠECHNO! Do roku 2023, který je před námi, Vám i Vašim blízkým přeji, ať je pokojnější než ten minulý. Ať v našich srdcích a životech stále více vládne Boží pokoj, naděje, odpuštění a Boží Láska nad strachem, beznadějí a jakýmkoliv zlem. Pán Bůh Vás ochraňuj, posiluj a žehnej Vám! Heartfelt greetings to all of you again at the beginning of the Advent season. I am very much looking forward to experiencing Christmas with you and meeting you in individual cities. On the first page of the Bulletin, you will find, as usual, a schedule of all pre-Christmas and Christmas Masses. I would like to draw the attention of our LA friends that our (Placentia) Christmas Mass will be on Sunday, 12/25,  at 1:00 pm at the Polish Center (POLISH CENTER – 3999 Rose Drive, Yorba Linda). As in SD and SF, we will meet and have refreshments following the Mass in the hall of the Polish church. I would like to ask all of you for help in preparing the refreshments by bringing, according to your means,  some food from your homes for our communal table = POTLUCK. Thank you in advance, and I am looking forward to it!

Heartfelt greetings to you at the beginning of November, a month during which we especially remember and pray for our deceased. At the same time, we may and should realize that we, too, will one day encounter God. We may and should ask ourselves: "How prepared are we for this Encounter with Jesus?"
