Česká katolická misie v Kalifornii

We are entering the month of February, which is rich in various church celebrations and events. As early as February 2nd we will be celebrating the feast of the Presentation of the Lord at the Temple, also known as “Hromnice” (Candlemas Day). On February 11th, we will commemorate the anniversary of the apparition of the Virgin Mary in Lourdes. This day is the world's Day of Prayer for the sick. And as early as February 17th we will be celebrating Ash Wednesday – the beginning of the 40-day Lent period, which is the preparation for the biggest Christian holiday – Easter. In addition to these significant holidays, we will also celebrate the feast of the popular St. Valentine (2.14.).
